This charming Piemontese white is a blend of Arneis, Cortese, and Favorita, all organically grown. It wafts from the glass with aromas of orange blossoms and yellow apples. The nose gives way to a plush mouthful of pears, almonds, golden raisins, honey and minerals with a lengthy finish. It is unoaked and dry, yet lush and round on the palate. Great with a butternut squash, sage, chilli & pancetta risotto. “Punset” is from the Piemontese dialect meaning “beautiful hill.” The estate is located in Neive, in the heart of the Langhe area of Piedmont on top of a hill overlooking the historic capital. “Ne?” Is Piemontese for “isn’t it?!” As in “isn’t it good?” (And yes, it is!)
