Guido Rivella

After 44 glorious years as oenologist at Gaja, Guido Rivella retired in 2014. Since then he has been bottling small quantities of wine with his children Enrico and Silvia at his small family estate in Montestefano. In the best vintages Guido Rivella makes three Barbaresco, a straight Barbaresco and two single Barbaresco crus – the Fausoni and the Montestefano. The wines are vinified in small temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged in used French oak.
